CHEST has secured a limited number of reduced-rate hotel rooms to make your trip to Boston affordable. Members of Boston Local Union 26 are engaged in lawful strike activities outside some hotels around the CHEST 2024 Annual Meeting at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. CHEST respects the rights of those seeking an equitable contract. We also support the importance of ongoing medical education and our attendees who have made commitments and sacrifices to be at the annual meeting.

While we may need to make some adjustments, hotels in the conference block currently experiencing strikes are few at this time. Please contact your hotel directly for more information if you have concerns.

Airline discounts

Delta: Visit Delta's website to book, or call +1 (800) 328-1111. If you are booking online, enter meeting event code NM3EV in the box provided under Advanced Search.

United: Visit united.com/meetingtravel, and enter ZP86758781 in the Offer Code box. You may also call United Meetings Reservations at +1 (800) 426-1122. Discounts are not offered on Basic Economy fares.

Transportation options

Rideshare services and taxis are available between Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and CHEST 2024 hotels. The approximate fare for a taxi is $25 to $30 each way.

To reduce our carbon footprint, CHEST will not be offering shuttle transportation between official hotels and the convention center or HQ hotel, where select events will be held. Ten of the 18 official hotels are within walking distance of these locations.

For attendees who booked an official hotel through onPeak that is not within walking distance (AC Hotel, DoubleTree Boston by Hilton, Hilton Boston Park Plaza, Hyatt Regency Boston, InterContinental Boston, Moxy Boston Downtown, Omni Parker House, and The Langham, Boston), CHEST will provide two Uber rideshare vouchers per day that can be used for transportation between the hotels and CHEST 2024 events. Information on how to use the rideshare voucher will be provided to attendees at those hotels closer to the meeting.

Public transportation is also available throughout Boston via the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA). Subway fare is $2.40 one-way with a CharlieCard, CharlieTicket, contactless payment, or cash. A 7-day pass is $22.50. The closest stations to the convention center are South Station and World Trade Center Station.

Travel assistance

Direct Travel Management can assist in arranging your travel. Their agents can help with unforeseen circumstances (bad weather, flight cancellations, delays) and provide superior customer service. Direct Travel Management is familiar with CHEST’s travel policies and can offer personalized service when you book with one of their agents. Tell them you will be attending CHEST 2024 with the American College of Chest Physicians and have your travel dates ready. A ticketing fee will apply. Childcare program

Bringing your family to CHEST 2024? CHEST is partnering with leading childcare provider KiddieCorp to offer a program for children aged 6 months through 12 years old. Childcare will be offered October 5 to 9 during CHEST education hours and will be located at the Omni Boston Seaport. Availability is limited and handled on a first come, first served basis. Invitation letters

Letters of invitation for attendees and guests can be generated during registration. Abstract and case report presenters needing additional presentation information in their invitation letter should contact abstracts@chestnet.org.

Attendees are expected to comply with all health and safety requirements in effect at the time of this CHEST event. CHEST reserves the right to adjust requirements and will notify attendees as applicable. Attendees are responsible for checking for updates issued by the state, city, venue, or CHEST before traveling to the location.
