What are your clinical and/or research interests?
General pulmonary and critical care medicine.

What led you to join your Interest Group and become a Steering Committee member?
Long-term interest in pulmonary function testing and respiratory care after running a pulmonary function laboratory and pulmonary rehabilitation program for many years.

What have you gained being involved in this Interest Group?
A great amount of knowledge and many new colleagues.

How has being in an Interest Group benefited your experience as a CHEST member?
Many new colleagues, and I learned a lot of new information.

Who or what has inspired you in your journey in pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine?
Prior leaders like Richard Irwin, Nick Hill, Mark Rosen, and Steve Weinberger.

What activities or hobbies do you enjoy that might surprise your colleagues?
Running, skiing, and classical music.

What is something you cannot live without (after family and friends)?
Helping others and altruism.
