Objectives

After taking this course, participants will be able to demonstrate these skills:

Imaging of cardiac function using bedside echocardiography for purposes of identification and characterization of causes of shock and respiratory failure.

Development of a management strategy for patients with shock and respiratory failure using bedside echocardiography in the ICU.

Integration of general critical care ultrasonography with bedside echocardiography.
