To improve the knowledge and care of patients requiring respiratory care through education, research, and collaboration of health care providers, patients, and support groups.

• Providing a mechanism to disseminate information relating to Respiratory Care to the members of the ACCP.
• Advancing the concept of multi-disciplinary care of the patients requiring respiratory care
• Supporting the training of pulmonary medicine fellows, allied healthcare professionals, and general practitioners in the area of Respiratory Care.
• Advocating policies for our patients and their families to assure the highest level of quality care for patients requiring respiratory care.
