The Annual CHEST Meeting

The precursor organization to the ACCP, the Federation of American Sanatoria, held its first meeting in Albuquerque, NM, in 1935, and so started the tradition of today's annual CHEST meeting. Its mission at that time was to educate general practitioners about TB and other chest diseases.

As the membership expanded to represent physicians who treated a diversity of diseases of the chest, and the name changed to today's American College of Chest Physicians, the annual international scientific assembly grew in its interdisciplinary approach, bringing together diverse specialties for an intensive and interactive collaborative gathering each year. In 1995, a new name was designated for the annual assembly, and the "CHEST" meeting was launched.

Each year since, the CHEST meeting has garnered the respect of chest physicians from around the globe who attend to learn about the latest clinical breakthroughs, technologic innovations, practice management issues, and so much more. The CHEST meeting is the best opportunity for professional development and personal growth and continues year after year to offer expanded learning experiences to enhance your clinical knowledge and skills.

Don't miss the upcoming CHEST meetings.
